Write to the Minister and Premier to voice your concerns!
RDASA has produced an open letter to the community to explain our concerns with the plan. You are encouraged to write to Minister Hill, Premier Rann, their local MP and your local press to voice your concerns. You can download the letters below. There is also a petition that you may like to circulate in your community but personal letters will convey a strong message. Just remember if you want it to be recognised in Parliament it must be signed! Please email a copy of your letter to RDASA at info@rdasa.com.au.

If you would like to add your name to the many who have already signed petitions and sent letters to the Government, you can download a copy of a petition that has been drawn up in partnership with the Australian Nursing Federation (SA branch) and other partners. You can also complete an online petition which is available on the ANF website.

This website has been constructed by a concerned member of the SA rural community and has an online petition as well as resources such as the email addresses for key people and organisations to contact with your concerns.
The RALLY ! Wednesday June 18th
What a fantastic show of support from rural communities across SA. Busloads descended upon Parliament House to hear speakers including
- Dr Alison Edwards (Pt Broughton GP)
- Dr Steve Holmes (RDASA President and Clare GP)
- Dr Peter Rischbieth (RDAA President, RDASA Vice President and Murray Bridge GP)
- Dr Peter Sharley (Retrieval Doctor)
- Ms Helen Colliver (Women in Agriculture and Business)
The vocal and vibrant crowd called on the Premier and the Health Minister to withdraw the plan and open communications with rural communities.

The speakers at the rally included Dr Alison Edwards (below) from Pt Broughton.

Dr Steve Holmes, President of RDASA and a GP from Clare also addressed the crowd of about 1000 supporters (below).
Dr Peter Rischbieth, President RDAA and Vice President RDASA and a GP from Murray Bridge called on the State Government to withdraw the Plan.
There was plenty of support from the Flinders and Far North Division of General Practice and Quorn GP, Dr Tony Lian-Lloyd.
Faces in the crowd included Dr David Senior (below) from Robe.
Yorke Peninsula supporters were out in force.

The crowd was estimated at 1000 people!



Helen Colliver from Women in Agriculture and Business also revved up the crowd with a stirring call to arms to protect country hospitals!
